Eastern Region Volunteer of the Year Criteria and Procedure

Each year, the Volunteer of the Year award is awarded to one (1) female and one (1) male volunteer in recognition of their service and special contributions to Pop Warner.  The criteria and procedure for selection are as follows:

1. No current Region Director, Vice-Region Director, Region Scholastics Coordinator or Region Cheer and Dance Coordinator is eligible to receive the award;
2. Each Eastern Region League may nominate one (1) female and one (1) male volunteer.
3. Petitions for nomination of an individual must be in writing and not more than two typewritten, double spaced pages;
4. In describing a nominee’s years of service, the contributions of the individual to Pop Warner as well as other community, civic or charitable organizations and activities should be enumerated in the petition for nomination.  Attachments may include up to two (2) typewritten, double-spaced pages to expound upon the information provided within the nomination form.  Nominations that exceed two (2) pages will be disqualified.
5. All petitions for nomination must be received (via Certified Mail) by the Eastern Region Director and Eastern Region Awards Committee Chairman by 03/09/2012;
6. The Eastern Region Awards Committee will screen the Nomination Forms and present up to three (3) female and three (3) male candidates for consideration to the delegates at the March Annual Meeting.  All nominees regardless of their final standing will receive an award just for being nominated.
7. Nominations must adhere to the written criteria and these instructions.
